Social Media Manager
Nigeria · Remote · Part-time
AMI Payments helps banks, fintechs, remittance providers and payment companies test, benchmark and improve cross-border payment journeys into Africa. We turn evidence on payment performance into actionable insights that help clients address service gaps and improve customer experience.
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to build our online presence, strengthen our credibility and generate interest among prospective customers and partners. With LinkedIn as the primary channel, you will create content that makes complex payment challenges easy to understand and connects our services to the outcomes customers care about.
Working closely with the founders and business development team, you will manage content planning, creation, publishing and community engagement. You will also support founder thought leadership and develop campaigns that encourage relevant prospects to engage with AMI Payments.
Success will mean building an engaged audience of industry decision-makers, increasing relevant website traffic and generating enquiries that support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage AMI Payments’ social media content calendar, with LinkedIn as the primary channel for reaching banks, fintechs, remittance providers and payment companies.
- Create engaging posts, carousels, short videos and explainers that communicate the value of payment testing, benchmarking and actionable intelligence.
- Translate complex payment topics into clear content that addresses customer challenges, including payment failures, delivery delays and beneficiary experience.
- Work with the founders to develop thought leadership content that reflects their expertise and builds AMI Payments’ credibility.
- Manage publishing, respond to comments and messages, and engage in relevant industry conversations.
- Grow a relevant audience of decision-makers, industry professionals and potential partners across Western markets and Africa.
- Develop campaigns that encourage prospects to explore our services, book introductory calls and enquire about paid pilots.
- Turn approved research, company updates, event participation and customer insights into compelling social content.
- Coordinate with business development colleagues to align campaigns with sales priorities and pass relevant enquiries to the right person.
- Track content performance, audience quality, website visits and enquiries, using the findings to improve results.
- Maintain consistent branding, tone and messaging, ensuring factual claims are supported and client information is handled appropriately.
Requirements
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content for a professional audience.
- Experience creating social media content, particularly for LinkedIn. Examples from employment, internships, volunteering, academic projects or personal accounts are welcome.
- Ability to turn complex topics into accessible posts, carousels and short videos.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut or similar design and video-editing platforms.
- Good organisational skills, including planning content calendars, managing deadlines and maintaining a consistent publishing schedule.
- Understanding of social media analytics and how to use performance data to improve content, audience engagement and enquiries.
- Confidence engaging professionally with followers, responding to comments and supporting relevant industry conversations.
- Interest in fintech, cross-border payments and African markets, with a willingness to research and learn.
- Sound judgement when checking facts, handling confidential information and representing a company publicly.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with colleagues and apply feedback.
- Please share examples of content you have created, explaining your contribution and any results you can demonstrate.
